Abbas vows to free all Palestinian prisoners
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas greeted 11 prisoners released by Israel during a special reception at the Muqata in Ramallah in the early hours of Wednesday, vowing that he would secure the release of all of the Palestinians held in Israeli jails.

In a speech greeted by loud cheers from the 500-strong crowd, Abbas made no mention of the peace talks set to resume tomorrow in Jerusalem. The 26 security prisoners, 11 of whom were sent to the West Bank and 15 to Gaza, were freed by Israel as a goodwill gesture ahead of the talks Wednesday.
