Turkey refuses to cancel the Pope's November visit Staff
Turkey announced Saturday that Pope Benedict XVI's planned visit to the country in November will not be cancelled despite controversy over his recent comments on Islam. According to a Turkish source, "The president of Turkey Ahmet Necdet Sezer it would be impossible to cancel the Pope's visit."
