‘Next to Her’ wins Special Jury Prize at Tokyo Filmex
Israeli film wins major prize.
Asaf Korman’s Next to Her won the Special Jury Prize at the Tokyo Filmex Festival, it was announced on November 30.

The movie, which tells the story of two sisters, one of whom is severely disabled, stars and was written by the director’s wife, Liron Ben-Shlush. Dana Ivgy, who plays the disabled sister, won the Ophir Award, the prize of the Israel Film Academy, for Best Supporting Actress. The movie also won the top prize at the Haifa International Film Festival and at the Eurasian International Film Awards.
