Israel Beiteinu will join Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government with one ministerial position, Israel Radio reported on Monday, following a meeting between Olmert and Israel Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman to discuss the party's entry into the coalition. According to the report, the negotiations between the two were good but incomplete, and they planned to meet again to tie up loose ends. Olmert said Monday afternoon that he expected the final details of the agreement to be finalized in the very near future. Liebrman will apparently be given the posts of Vice Premier and Minister for Strategic Affairs, which will focus on the Iranian issue. It was speculated that Lieberman will als receive the chairmanship for the Knesset's Finance Committee.
