"The 'Anyone but Bibi' campaign has become 'Anyone but Sara,'" Netanyahu says on Facebook.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lashed out at the media on Monday after reports emerged the previous day over his wife Sara’s allegedly improper behavior toward staff at the couple’s official residence in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu took to his Facebook page, accusing the media of taking its campaign against him to a new, personal level.

“The media attack against my wife Sara is yet another low point for some leading members of the Israeli media that will use any means to hurt me and my political path,” Netanyahu charged.

“The ‘Anyone but Bibi’ campaign has become ‘Anyone but Sara’ – anything in order to defame, denounce, attack, to do all in their power to unseat the Likud under my leadership and pave the way for the Left,” he said. “Those who wish to attack my policies in a proper manner are welcome. Leave my family alone.”

New evidence surfaced on Sunday in the lawsuit against the prime minister and his wife, filed by Manny Naftali, the former overseer of Netanyahu’s residence.

The evidence, in the form of two testimonies of former employees that echo Naftali’s accusations, makes harsh claims against the Sara Netanyahu’s behavior.

Emmanuel Sela, also a former overseer of the residence, gave one of the statements at Jerusalem Labor Court, saying that he was required to work long hours for which he was not remunerated.

“Sara’s treatment of the household workers was unbearable,” he said, describing a household in which “screaming, tongue lashing, non-stop pressure and contradicting orders given by the prime minister and his wife simultaneously” were typical.

The constant physical and emotional pressure took a toll on Sela ,who retired from the position following a heart attack that he attributes to the job’s high demands.

Another worker at the residence, Guy Eliahu, said in his testimony that Sara Netanyahu used to “ask me to bring her food, and when I would return with the requested food she would accuse me of trying to make her fat.”

Eliyahu said that on one occasion, he was called back to the residence after he had already gone home, “after midnight, just so I could heat up a bowl of soup for Mrs. Netanyahu.” Upon returning to the residence, he was reprimanded by Netanyahu and told that he must come back to the residence no matter the hour if she wanted food, he said.

Eliyahu also claimed that he was called back to the residence on one occasion because he had not wished the prime minister’s wife goodnight when he left work.
