Trump reportedly seeks top secret clearance for Ivanka
Trump's children may be allowed in on the nation's most sensitive information if the president-elect uses a loophole in nepotism laws.
President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly looking into acquiring security clearances for his adult children, according to a CBS News report Monday night.

Despite nepotism laws preventing Ivanka and her brothers from working at the White House, Trump is looking to both secure the clearances for his children via a loophole which would mean they can act as his advisors, and also hand over control of his business empire to them.

Critics of the path Trump is trying to take with regards to his business-family connections claim that it will be almost impossible for him to avoid a conflict of interest when he assumes office.

Meanwhile, Ivanka herself has claimed she will be active in ways that do not directly pertain to official power.

"I’m going to be a daughter," she said earlier this week. "I’ve said throughout the campaign that I am very passionate about certain issues. And that I want to fight for them."

Among the issues she said she would support are wage equality, childcare, education and women's rights.
