Bomb attack wounds seven in Bangladesh
01/28/2007
Unidentified attackers threw a bomb at a vehicle used by an anti-crime force in the Bangladeshi capital, wounding seven people, a police official said. The van used by the Rapid Action Battalion was parked in front of a police box in Dhaka's busy Gulistan area when it was attacked late Saturday, the area's police chief Mahfuz Alam told The Associated Press by telephone from the scene. Two of the seriously wounded, including a member of the battalion, were hospitalized, he said. "We have no other details now. We are trying to determine what kind of bomb it was," Alam said.
