Health Minister Dan Naveh (Likud) prefers elections to be as quick and short as possible, he said Thursday morning. The positions of each side are already familiar, and there is no need for a drawn-out election process, Naveh told Israel Radio. He said the Likud's problems need to be solved before the vote. He criticized Labor chairman Amir Peretz for preferring a coalition with the Arab parties over a coalition with the Likud. MK Yuli Tamir (Labor) also spoke to Israel Radio on Thursday morning, saying that she would be pleased with the appointment of Arab ministers, accusing the Likud of being a racist party, based on Naveh's comments.
