WATCH: Former White House official Gorka compares Hillary Clinton to Russian spies
Sean Hannity invited author Peter Schweizer to discuss his new book 'Clinton Cash' exposing Clinton’s alleged involvement in a Russian purchase of American uranium.
Former White House senior official Sebastian Gorka claimed Hillary Clinton should be charged with treason for allegedly providing Russia with uranium during her time as secretary of state on a segment for Sean Hannity's FOX network television show on Thursday.

Gorka compared Clinton to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, two Jewish-Americans who were convicted of espionage for allegedly transferring nuclear weapons designs to the USSR. The Rosenbergs received the death penalty for their crime and were executed via electric chair in 1953.

Gorka said, “If this had happened in the 1950s, there would be people up on treason charges right now. The Rosenbergs, okay? This is equivalent to what the Rosenbergs did, and those people got the chair."

Sean Hannity invited author Peter Schweizer to discuss his new book Clinton Cash exposing Clinton’s alleged involvement when Rosatom, a Russian nuclear agency, purchased control of Uranium One, a Canadian-based company that had mining licenses for 20% of the US uranium. The Obama administration approved the transaction in 2010 when Clinton was Secretary of State.

No evidence of Clinton’s involvement has been procured. The treasury department, and not the state department,  headed the committee of foreign Investment, which approved the deal. Gorka and Schweizer contended that Clinton committed “treason" through this transaction.

According to The Washington Post, most fact checkers have claimed that such accusations are without merit. The purchase of the company Uranium One did not involve removing uranium from the United States.

Gorka was removed from President Donald Trump's administration when he was accused of antisemitism after a picture of him surfaced wearing a medal of the Vitez Rend. The Vitez Rend was a movement started by Miklos Horthy, a famous antisemite and Nazi collaborator. Gorka has denied the accusations and said he wore the medal as an honor to his late father who fought against the communists.
