Third day of protests in Israel's capital.
Palestinian protestors expressed their anger at the recent US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital at the city's Salah a-Din Street on Saturday.

Ten protestors were wounded, according to a Palestinian Red Crescent volunteer, and five were arrested.

The protest in Jerusalem took place at the same time as Israeli security forces were deployed across multiple flashpoints in the West Bank and along the Gaza border.

Israel Police Spokesperson for international media Mickey Rosenfeld said that police units dispersed the protestors and that two policemen were wounded in the clashes. Six protestors were arrested.

"Police security measures continue in Jerusalem with emphasis in and around the area of the Old City," he said.

"Police and border police will respond to any incidents immediately."

On Saturday, the IDF's COGAT chief Major General Yoav Mordechai issued a public warning on social media to Hamas not to test the IDF's strength and resolve.

The warning had been issued after several rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza on Friday evening and the Israeli Air Force hit select Hamas targets in retaliation.

Protests and demonstrations were held around the Arab and Muslim world after the US declared its recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel.
