Olmert to propose release of 250 Fatah prisoners Staff
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert intends to propose in next week's cabinet meeting that Israel release 250 Fatah security prisoners, "who don't have blood on their hands," in a gesture that will show Palestinians that Israel's hand is extended in peace, Olmert said Monday evening at the conclusion of the Sharm e-Sheikh summit. Olmert said that Israel would require the prisoners to promise they won't return to terrorism.
