Dmatek extends Spain contract

Tel Aviv-based Dmatek Ltd., a provider of electronic monitoring technologies, announced on Thursday an extension of the contract for the provision of electronic monitoring systems to Spain's countrywide offender monitoring scheme.
Tel Aviv-based Dmatek Ltd., a provider of electronic monitoring technologies, announced on Thursday an extension of the contract for the provision of electronic monitoring systems to Spain's countrywide offender monitoring scheme. The value of the new two-year contract is expected to be worth up to $10 million. Elmo-Tech Ltd., Dmatek's wholly owned subsidiary, will lease the systems to the Spanish Ministry of Interior-General Directorate of Penitentiary Institute (GDIP). Elmo-Tech has been providing offender-monitoring equipment in Spain since the first pilot program was launched in 2000. Since then, Spain has become a European leader in adopting a wide variety of offender monitoring technologies, with systems currently operating across the country.
