Histadrut declares labor dispute in Israir

The Histadrut Labor Federation declared on Sunday a labor dispute in the Israir airline following flight attendants' protests of their working conditions. The Israir employees' complaints include an alleged failure by the company to pay the minimum wage, being forced to sleep on the floor of the aircraft, and being forced to pay the costs of their own training. A senior Israir official said that the organizers of the labor dispute were trying to advance their own interests at the expense of other workers'.
