Consistency is key when trying to achieve success in any field, but it is particularly imperative in the music industry. Rapper, singer, and producer Daniel Mouyal is a testament to that fact. The MC, who is also the founder of You Already Know Records, has been relentless with his releases (in a good way). Already having released a slew of singles this year, he unleashes a music video for “A Little Too Much,” which appears on his just-released album, “Yeshiva Freshman.” The record is already making a lot of noise as it was #3 on Apple Music Canada’s Hip-Hop/Rap chart, featured on Genius, and spun on New York’s Power 105.1 FM and Sirius XM’s Shade 45.

“A Little Too Much” is akin to a redemption track and provides the listener with a full-circle moment. The song takes listeners along Daniel Mouyal’s psyche and spiritual journey back to his roots in Judaism. He details leaving the fast life behind and cherishing the things that actually matter like family and faith. The inspirational anthem was penned by Daniel Mouyal, produced by Debonaire, and mixed by Oryahh. The latent violin playing within the instrumental perfectly blends with Daniel Mouyal’s smooth, clever lyricism. The hook truly hooks listeners in through its catchiness and resonating verbiage.

Daniel Mouyal furthers the idea of returning to his roots by enlisting his father, Michael Mouyal, to direct the music video for “A Little Too Much.” The visual is chalk full of powerful and serene imagery as it was filmed throughout Israel – Western Wall in the Old City, the hot Dead Sea, and features a traditional shabbat dinner. The music video has already garnered almost 100,00 views in less than a month and has received critical acclaim. The video won the Silver Award at the Houston International Film Festival, Best Dance Music Video at the Europe Music Video Awards, the Silver Award at the Paris Film Awards, and the Silver Award at the London Movie Awards. His previous music video, “Love Torah,” was met with similar praise as it won Best Music Video at the Knight of the Reel Awards and Best Music Video at the Filmzen International Film Competition. The song will be getting a remix from L'Chaim OG this summer.

Daniel Mouyal is showing no signs of slowing down. Last month, he performed five shows at the Daze Music Festival in various boroughs in New York City, and he performed at a venue in Jerusalem. He kicked off May with a performance in Tokyo, Japan at Ruby Room. Daniel Mouyal got noticed by Hip-Hop legend Fat Joe and performed at one of his shows. On May 12th, 2023, he released the highly anticipated album, “Yeshiva Freshman,” which features the hits, “Love Torah” and “A Little Too Much.” The album has features from Oryahh, sound engineer for Nissim Black, and Kosha Dillz, who is a well-known freestyle rapper and is on MTV's Wild ‘N Out. There’s no such thing as listening to track 11 on “Yeshiva Freshman” too much, so sit back, relax, and play “A Little Too Much” on repeat.
