The Jewish world is greatly concerned for the health of the Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto – leader of Shuva Israel organizations in Israel and abroad.

At the beginning of the week, Rabbi Pinto was hospitalized in New York, where he was operated on, in a prolonged complicated procedure, due to deterioration in his health. At the end of surgery, Rabbi Pinto was transferred for recovery to the ICU department and continued health supervision.

A formal announcement published regarding his health situation informed his disciples that in spite of the doctors’ efforts, the Rabbi will soon have to undergo another surgery, because the doctors were unable to solve the entire health problem.

Prayer assemblies were conducted in recent days in dozens of places around Israel, USA, Europe, Morocco, The United Emirates and elsewhere, and in Shuva Israel institutes, calling everybody to pray for Rabbi Pinto’s full health and mention his full name for praying – Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yossef, son of Rebbetzin Zeri.

A few hours before he was hospitalized, Rabbi Pinto gave a Torah lesson to his students, who were assembled at Shuva Israel world center in Manhattan, New York. Rabbi Pinto’s son and heir, Rabbi Yoel Moshe Pinto, sat at his side.

During the lesson, Rabbi Pinto turned to his students and encouraged them to rise up with confidence and belief in God. He said that all difficulties and hardships in the world are temporary, and with patience and belief one can overcome everything.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Rabbi Pinto’s leadership of Shuva Israel and the spiritual revolution he made in the Jewish world. Close to 100 yeshivas and branches around the world, tens of thousands of students and popular live Torah lessons, reaching million views in the social media.

Next month, on the 25 of Elul (11.9.2023) there is to be an event of completing thousands of Zohar Books, with the participation of tens of thousands of people, at Menorah Hall in Tel Aviv. The event is to be led by Rabbi Pinto for the second year and is the star event for Shuva Israel and the daily Zohar study, which Rabbi Pinto and his son have established and innovated.

The idea itself was formed over a hundred years ago, by the greatest Israeli Rabbi, Rabbi Yossef Haim Zonnenfeld and Rabbi Abraham Itzhak Hacohen Kook, who made a religious ruling, at the center of which will be completion of thousands of Zohar Books, which will end all troubles. Rabbi Pinto and his son renewed this religious ruling and next month ten thousand people – a peak number – are expected to complete the Zohar Book.

Currently, thousands of people are hoping and praying that Rabbi Pinto will get well soon and will be able to keep leading them in good strong health and even participate in the historical event.
