The Ra’anana Ubank Raiders and Modi'in keep fighting it out for the second seed in Israel Association of Baseball Premier League action this week, splitting a pair of games.Ra’anana’s record now stands at 5-4, just one game ahead of Modi'in, and one and a half games behind league-leading Jerusalem, at 6-2.In the first game, Ra’anana rallied from an early 5-0 deficit to beat Modi’in 12-10.Raanana’s bats came alive in the third inning, as the team crushed Modi’in’s starter Zach Schneider, led by second baseman Asaf Rothem, who went 3 for 4 with two walks and 3 RBIs.Modi'in again jumped ahead early in the rematch, but this time Schneider held the lead through the end.He was assisted by four infield hits, and a mammoth eighth inning Grand Slam by his catcher, Noam Markose, that cemented the win 11-5.
