Betar to face FC Barcelona if it completes aggregate victory over Krakow

If Betar Jerusalem completes an aggregate victory over Wisla Krakow to advance to the second preliminary round of the Champions League it will face none other than FC Barcelona. The Israeli champions, who beat the Poles 2-1 in the first leg, were drawn against the Catalan powerhouse - which won the competition in 2006 - in the UEFA draw on Friday. In the unlikely event that it ousts Barcelona, Betar will be making the group stage of Europe's premier competition for the first time in its history. The only other local rivals of Betar to have reached the group stage are Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
