Israel claimed the World Youth Team Bridge Championships in Philadelphia last month, winning the Ortiz-Patiño Trophy, symbol of supremacy at world youth bridge, by beating France in the final of the Junior series for players up to 26 years.
Israel’s team was comprised of Eliran Agrelazi, Eran Assaraf, Alon Birman, Lotan Fisher, Ron Schwartz and Bar Tarnovski and was led by non-playing captain Gilad Ofir.
The World Youth Team Championships took place during the 13th edition of the World Bridge Series Championships, the world’s biggest and most complex bridge competition, held quadrennially.
