Casspi shines in preseas

Omri Casspi ended the NBA preseason in impressive fashion over the weekend, starting twice for the Sacramento Kings and strengthening his position in Paul Westphal's roster. The 21-year-old played 30 minutes, scoring 13 points on four of 10 from the field, in Sacramento's 95-85 loss to the Utah Jazz on Friday. Trailing throughout most of the game, the Kings got within 72-69 early in the fourth quarter, but rookie Eric Maynor hit a three-pointer and the Jazz pulled away to their third straight game. On Thursday, Casspi scored 17 points (7 of 12) and passed four assists in 28 minutes on court in the Kings' 104-89 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game was a preview of Wednesday's season opener for both teams, also at the Ford Center.
