In a rain-soaked weekend of playoff action in the AFI Moshiko men's contact Talk'n'Save flag football league, Big Blue and Bitach were defeated by Lobos and Cobras, respectively, in the quarterfinals. In the other bracket, Derech Etz Chaim defeated Orli Print to secure their spot in the semis against Maimo Magic, who defeated AH Schrieber. Big Blue was able to shut down the Lobos vaunted offense, however they were unable to put points of their own on the board, falling 19-6 in a game that was much tighter than the final score indicates. It was 7-6 going into the final minute before Big Blue allowed the Lobos to get a free touchdown in order to get another possession to tie the game. However, an interception returned for a TD iced the victory. Maimo Magic, which is clearly the Cinderella story of the Holyland Bowl bracket, came in ranked near the bottom of the pool of 32 and has survived until the last four. All the games were played in rainy conditions, but the Kraft Family Stadium turf held its own and the surface was nearly flawless. This weekend's semifinal matchups have Derech Etz Chaim playing Maimo Magic and Lobos playing Cobras. The winners will face each other in the Holyland Bowl. In other lower tier games, One Jerusalem beat Pizzeria Efrat, Kesher Krew dominated Neve Zion, Famous Consulting dispatched Sol & Zelda Berger Boys, Klein Management edged Magen Av, OJ Kush ousted Big Apple Pizza, Holy Bagel ripped Hakotel Eye Candy, and Studio 803 triumphed over Tivuch Shelly.
