The Ga'ash Golf Club hosted the Blue Birdie Nomad Club tournament on Monday afternoon, which brought out 60 golfers playing in a better-ball Stableford competition at 80% handicap over 9 holes.
The action was tight at the top of the leaderboard, with three groups finishing with 23 Stableford points, but on the count-out first prize went to Benny Abramov and Shlomo Kuperman. In second place were Amos Aharoni and Salo Levi with third place going to co-owner of the Ga'ash Golf Club Eliezer Peleg, and chairman and founder of the Blue Birdie, Chanoch Reichenberg.
Nearest-to-the-pin prizes went to Baruch Lazerowitz, who won a sleeve of Titleist balls, and Shaul Gadni, who will enjoy a fully-covered weekend at the Carlton Hotel in Tel Aviv.
The Albatross restaurant at Ga'ash club provided the catering for the awards ceremony and cocktail party. It was a high-spirited party in which Reichenberg expressed his gratitude to his sponsor, Mirelis, and to the entire Ga'ash staff for hosting the event.
Up next on the links at Ga'ash, the players are eagerly anticipating next week's "Twilight Texas Scramble Tournament".
