Thousands of shekels were raised for children with severe disabilities at the annual Beit Issie Shapiro tournament last Thursday at Caesarea Golf Club.
Each participant donated NIS 365 - one "lifesaving" shekel for each day of the year - and the course's holes could be "purchased" for $1,000 for the day.
In addition to the golf tournament, the club hosted a breakfast, dinner and trophy ceremony led by Yoram Arbel.
A "hole in one" competition was held, but once again none of the golfers succeeded in placing the ball in No. 10 with a single stroke. A Volvo jeep remained the property of Meir Ltd., the importing firm.
Results from the Beit Issie Shapiro golf tournament: First Division - Moshe Zarkover and Hilton Block (45), Eric Isaacs and Eddie Hoffman (43), Nir Yaron and Zvika Meshi (42); Second Division - Ron Uziel and Meir Inni (47), Gil Bianco and Itzik Idelman (41), Roni Heiman and Phillip Mendel (40); Third Division - Nathan Vatin and Victor Goldner (48); Danny Brisko and John Wallberg (41); Hagit Vilner and Yafa Samuels (40).
