Cyril Kaufman and Steve Taylor win the "Twilight Tournament" at the Ga'ash Golf Club on Monday the 14th of July with 41 Stableford points. The competition was a "Better-Ball Stableford" competition, 75% handicap.
On 39 points were 6 pairs of amazingly good players: Limor Side / Oren Weissman; Avraham & Shmuel Zantkeren; Moshe Ben-Dov / Moshe Alon; Yair & Ben Friedrich; Shmuel Almagor / Ofra Dagan; Dudu Tor / Yuval Harari.
Second place on the count out went to Limor Side and Oren Weissman.
Following the tournament, a prize-giving ceremony and annual general meeting were held at Albatross restaurant at Ga'ash. The atmosphere was festive and the meal excellent. Wines were provided by the "Wine Center at Ga'ash" and the winners received their trophies to great applause.
In mid August, Gaash Golf will hold a tournament in aid of the Israeli Special Olympics. Tali Kornhauser, Vice Chairman of the Israeli Special Olympics and proud mother of a child who won two medals in table tennis in the last Paralympic Games, spoke to the members during the dinner and explained the importance of aiding this cause. Many players have already signed up and sponsors are looking forward to supporting such a worthy foundation.
Ga'ash is now looking forward to the next qualifying round of the "International Pairs" to be held next week.
