Hapoel Jerusalem’s BSL winning streak reached 10 games on Monday night with a 71-64 victory at Hapoel Holon thanks to another sensational performance from Lior Eliyahu.

Jerusalem’s last league defeat was more than two months ago, but it was made to work hard by Holon on Monday, with a tight first half ending in a slender threepoint lead (38-35) for the visitors.
Jerusalem took a six-point margin (55-49) into the final 10 minutes and never allowed Holon closer than five points to record yet another league win.
After scoring his highest BSL point total in almost eight years two-and-a-half weeks ago, netting 24 points in the victory over Hapoel Eilat, Eliyahu finished Monday’s win with 25 points and 15 rebounds, hitting 11-of- 15 field-goal attempts.
Josh Duncan and Yaniv Green added 10 points each for Jerusalem, which improved to a league-best 13-3.
D.J. Kennedy had 16 points for Holon (8-8).
Jerusalem’s biggest lead of the night came early in the second half when Eliyahu’s basket opened a 10-point gap (48-38).
A 9-2 run saw Holon close back to within three points (50-47), but Duncan’s three-pointer to beat the third-period buzzer gave the visitors a six-point cushion (55-49) they never looked like losing.
Ironi Ness Ziona improved to 9-6 on Monday with a convincing 94-75 victory over Hapoel Tel Aviv. Ness Ziona outscored Hapoel 30-16 in the first quarter and remained in complete control until the final buzzer.
Anthony Goods had 25 points and seven rebounds for Ness Ziona, with Diamon Simpson contributing 17 points and 11 boards.
Carlon Brown and Vincent Council scored 18 points each for Hapoel, which was playing without star scorer Raviv Limonad for a second straight game and fell to 10-6 with its second defeat in the past three contests.
Also Monday, Maccabi Rishon Lezion (5-11) beat Barak Netanya (6-10) 83-74. Davin White scored 21 points for Rishon, with Jake Cohen adding 17 points in his first game for the team after moving on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
