Livner, Margalit claim Tour d’Israel title

After four days of intense racing, the GO-PRO team duo proved their worth with a scintillating performance over the 646-kilometer route which began on Monday in Kfar Giladi and finished on Friday in Israel’s southernmost city.

Israelis Niv Livner and Ran Margalit were celebrating over the weekend after winning the first edition of the Tour d’Israel in Eilat.
After four days of intense racing, the GO-PRO team duo proved their worth with a scintillating performance over the 646-kilometer route which began on Monday in Kfar Giladi and finished on Friday in Israel’s southernmost city.

They passed the finish line after completing the final 148km stage fromMitzpe Rimon to Eilat in four hours, 37 minutes and eight seconds;producing an overall time of 19:09:09.45 hours.
Second place went to Tzachi Boigan and Anton Michalov, whileinternational triathlon champions Dan and Ran Alterman finished third.
