Ironi Nahariya's reward for knocking Maccabi Tel Aviv out of the State Cup is a tough quarterfinal road game against Bnei Hasharon.
Nahariya, which defeated Maccabi 99-85 on Monday, was drawn on Tuesday to travel to Ra'anana and will have to be at its best once more if it's to get the better of a Bnei Hasharon team, which reached the last eight by thrashing Ironi Ramat Gan 101-62.
Cup holder Hapoel Jerusalem, which received a bye into the quarterfinals, will be a massive favorite to reach the last four once again after being drawn to host Maccabi Givat Shmuel.
Also in the quarterfinals, which will be held on January 4, Ironi Ashkelon hosts Hapoel Holon and Maccabi Haifa visits the only remaining National League team in the competition, Hapoel Afula.
The quarterfinal draw was made at the halftime break of the women's State Cup semifinal game between Electra Ramat Hasharon and Bnot Hasharon.
Ramat Hasharon defeated Bnot Hasharon 55-54 behind 22 points from Jia Perkins, with guard Temeka Johnson missing a chance to win the game at the buzzer.
Ramat Hasharon will face Maccabi Ramat Hen in Thursday's final. Ramat Hen beat Elitzur Holon 78-72 on Tuesday, and is looking to lift the State Cup for the first time in 25 years.
