Shahar Pe'er and Dudi Sela both recorded first-round Wimbledon victories on Monday. Sela (47) found it tough against Mexican qualifier Santiago Gonzalez (233) but eventually came through 3-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4. He will play German Rainer Schuettler (18) or Xavier Malisse of Belgium in the second round. It marks the first time Sela has advanced to the second round of Wimbledon after losing in his debut in the tournament last year. Pe'er returned from a month-long injury layoff to defeat Italian Maria Elena Camerin (94) 6-2, 7-6.
