Israel's dream of reaching the 2011 Rugby World Cup ended on Saturday after it suffered a 19-3 defeat to Lithuania in the second round of qualifying at the Wingate Institute.
The national team had won eight straight matches ahead of Saturday's encounter, but Lithuania was far too strong for Israel at Wingate and, after scoring the first try in the 10th minute, cruised to an easy victory.
