Hapoel Tel Aviv secured the runners-up position in the Premier League and seriously complicated Hakoach Amidar Ramat Gan's situation at the bottom of the standings after winning 3-2 at Bloomfield Stadium on Monday night. Hakoach pegged back Hapoel twice and had a couple of superb opportunities to win the match in the final five minutes. But it was Tel Aviv's Eden Ben-Basat who scored the winner in the 89th and broke the hearts of Ramat Gan fans. Hakoach will enter its final match of the season against Hapoel Petah Tikva on Saturday in last position, one point behind Ironi Kiryat Shmona, which will secure itself at least 11th place if it defeats Maccabi Petah Tikva. Only the team which finishes in last position will be automatically relegated at the end of the season, with the side that finishes in 11th place to play against a National League team in a relegation playoff. Hapoel dominated the possession from the start and got its reward in the 22nd minute. Eran Zehavi scored with a powerful shot, but Hakoach equalized against the run of play in the 36th minute after Eitan Tibi sent an unstoppable header into the back of the net from Gal Levy's corner. Hapoel took a 2-1 lead into the break after Maharan Lala scored in the 43rd minute and, despite Michael Tukura's equalizer in the 75th minute, the hosts took all three points with Ben-Basat's winner.
