Tennis: Levy through, Okun ousted in Ramat Hasharon

Harel Levy advanced to the second round of the Israel Open in memory of Col. Ilan Ramon on Monday, defeating Slovakian Kamil Capkovic 6-2, 6-1 at Ramat Hasharon. Levy, who is ranked No. 156 in the world, is seeded No. 1 in the $50,000 event and is the favorite to win the first challenger tournament to be played in Israel in years. Also Monday, Noam Okun (408) continued to struggle, losing 6-2, 6-4 to Brit James Ward (474). Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich will be in action in the doubles tournament on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tzipi Obziler progressed to the second round of the Tier III Budapest tournament on Monday, beating Ioana Raluca Olaru 6-3, 6-2.
