Air Berlin, the German charter airline, Tuesday night launched two weekly overnight flights on the route between Berlin and Tel Aviv. The flights leave Berlin on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and arrive in Tel Aviv on Wednesday and Friday mornings respectively. During the summer months, prices for return flights including all taxes and charges are €358 to €498, according to the airline's Web site.
The new flight brings to 68 the number of flights to Israel from various cities within Germany, operated by eight airlines. These cites include Frankfurt, Munich, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin, with 14 weekly scheduled and charter flights departing from Berlin.
