Trainee rebels in Benghazi have learned to confront live ammunition rounds in a boot camp to prepare them to face forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. They crawl under barbed wire amid the sound of gunfire. They make their way through water. They crawl through obstacles on fire. The camp has been set up to simulate battlefield conditions. It's a place to foster conditioning and build strength."This is training for the students on how to have high endurance, we train them in a battle environment," a Libyan rebel trainer said. The rebels learn to march. They learn how to enter a building in a hostile environment. And they are taught how to capture an enemy fighter.Thousands of people have been killed in Libya, the bloodiest of the revolts in what has been described as the "Arab spring."
