Video: Israel's only hope in the world of golf

Laetitia Beck says that she has always dreamed of becoming a professional golfer, and moved left Israel at age 14 to do so.

In a country with only two golf courses and few professional golfers, Laetitia Beck had an unusual dream for an Israeli girl: to be a professional golfer and play in the LPGA.

Beck was born in Belgium and immigrated to Israel with her parents at age five. She has been playing golf since she was nine years old at the golf course near her parents’ home in Caesarea. Beck said that when her parents encouraged her to play a sport at that young age, she chose golf.

She left Israel for the United States at age 14 to chase her dream, and she currently plays for the Duke University Golf Team.
