Report: Terrorist from shooting attack outside Jerusalem was a member of PA security forces

According to Palestinian reports, the shooter was an intelligence officer from the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Dis.

The terrorist who carried out the shooting attack at the Hizme checkpoint outside of Jerusalem on Thursday was a member of the Palestinian security forces, the Bethlehem-based Ma'an News Agency reported.
According to the report, the shooter was Mazen Hassan Oraiba of the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Dis, a Palestinian intelligence officer.
An IDF soldier and an Israeli civilian were wounded in the shooting at the Hizma checkpoint outside the Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze'ev on Thursday.
The IDF Spokespersons Unit reported that the gunman exited his car on the approach to the checkpoint, and opened fire on the soldiers.
IDF troops returned fire, striking and killing the terrorist.
The soldier was reported to be in light condition, while the civilian was seriously wounded in the upper body.
