A new kind of tourism is hitting Israel, and it comes with good intentions. The program Pantry Packing is bringing overseas tourists to Israel to volunteer their vacation days taking part in 'tikkun olam' (repairing the world).

The program is a 90-minute session where visiting groups, such as bar and bat-mitzvah parties, family groups, youth groups etc. have the opportunity to make their contribution to Israeli society in a meaningful way.

The groups pack food staples at a food pantry and the food is then donated to impoverished Israelis.
