An Egyptian court sentenced three Al Jazeera journalists on Monday to seven years each in prison, in a case that has raised questions about Egypt's respect for media freedoms.

Australian Peter Greste, Al Jazeera's Kenya-based correspondent, Canadian-Egyptian national Mohamed Fahmy, bureau chief of Al Jazeera English in Egypt, and Egyptian producer Baher Mohamed were detained in late December and charged with helping a "terrorist organization."
