Hamas ended the organization’s ceasefire negotiations with Israel Sunday evening, Ynet News reported."The indirect discussions of a ceasefire with Israel have ended," said Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri.This statement came after two Egyptian emissaries, senior intelligence officer Ahmed Abdel Khaleq –and Mustafa Shehata, – a top Egyptian diplomat, left Gaza abruptly on Sunday after only staying in the Palestinian coastal enclave for one day.Zuhri blamed Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for the collapse of the talks. In the past, Abbas has demanded that Hamas accept the authority of the PA and disarm in order to reconcile with Abbas’s ruling Fatah party.
