The air force struck Hamas operative Muhammad Al-Aoul in northern Gaza on Sunday, the latest senior member of the organization targeted in recent days.
Army sources described him as a key figure in Hamas's finances division.
Al-Aoul was hit in the strike, though his condition was not immediately known.
The strike came days after the IDF killed three senior Hamas commanders in the Rafah area last week and killed the wife and son of Hamas military leader Muhamad Deif. Hamas has denied reports that Deif himself was killed in the strike.
The targeting of Al-Aoul was one of dozens of actions carried out by the IDF on Sunday.
Just before 6 p.m. Sunday the air force hit two terror operatives who fired on Sderot.
The IAF struck 50 targets in Gaza as of 6 p.m. on Sunday, targeting rocket storage and production sites, as well as launchers and training camps.
Terrorists in Gaza have fired some 100 rockets at Israel on Sunday.
