A Palestinian illegally residing in Israel was arrested by security forces on Wednesday afternoon on suspicion that the man, from the Palestinian West Bank city of Tulkarem, plotted and attempted to carry out a terror attack in Israeli territory.
When Border Police soldiers, in collaboration with police and Shin Bet forces, tried to arrest the man, he resisted and drew a knife, threatening the forces.
Forces eventually detained the suspect and he is expected to be brought in for questioning.
The arrest, according to police, thwarted a possible attack targeting Israelis.
