A Palestinian driver is suspected of speeding towards a group of Israeli soldiers at an intersection in Gush Eztion in an attempt to run them over on Tuesday.

One soldier was hit in the incident, yet he remained unharmed and did not require medical attention.

The Golani Brigade's Gideon Battalion and the Israel Police said the suspect apprehended in Hebron was in the vehicle suspected of being used in the attack.

The suspect has been arrested, and taken for questioning. The army said security forces acted quickly to track down the suspect and his car.
