Two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded overnight on Monday after being stoned at Joseph's Tomb in Nablus while escorting a large group of Jewish worshipers into the area, the IDF announced on Monday morning.
The two soldiers were evacuated to hospital, while prayers at the tomb carried on as normal.
Meanwhile, clashes also broke out between Palestinians and IDF soldiers in the Ephraim region of the West Bank during an operation. Palestinians threw Molotov cocktails and stones at forces, who in turn responded with crowd control measures.
The IDF also confirmed that 30 Palestinians suspected of involvement in terrorist activities, public terror and violent disturbances against civilians and soldiers were arrested in West Bank overnight by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), the Border Police and the Israel Police.
During an IDF and Israel Police operation, a search for illegal weapons was carried out in which forces seized a Carl Gustaf weapon.
