Jerusalem police said Monday that they arrested a Palestinian man, 22, who injured a tour guide when he assaulted her with a bottle outside Jaffa Gate in the Old City.

Border Police conducted an investigation following the attack and arrested a suspect shortly afterward.

The victim in the incident was reportedly in light condition and was evacuated to Hadassah University Medical Center with a head injury.

In an incident reported earlier in the day, National Fire and Rescue Service personnel were called to the Jerusalem District Courthouse to contain a blaze after a Palestinian youth threw a Molotov cocktail at a guard post located in the courtyard.

The bottle exploded outside the guard post and only caused minimal damage to the structure.
