In an in-house promotion, Dina Eldor will replace Naomi Fortis as the general director of Batsheva Dance. Eldor, 52, has coordinated Batsheva's international tours since 1992. From 1986 to 2004, she was codirector with Avi Yifrach of Multimedia, the largest performing arts promoter of its kind in the country. Among the rest, Multimedia has produced the International Jazz Festival in Eilat and the Acre Festival of Alternative Theater. Fortis, who announced her resignation in April, will quit at the end of the season after 11 years as general director.
