'Golden Curtain' goes up

More than 500 personalities and producers of Israeli television will gather Thursday at the Golden Curtain Awards in Petah Tikva, honoring viewers' favorites in a number of categories.

More than 500 personalities and producers of Israeli television will gather Thursday at the Golden Curtain Awards in Petah Tikva, honoring viewers' favorites in a number of categories. Ran Danker of HaShir Shelanu ("Our Song") and Yehuda Levi of Ahava Me'ever Lepina ("Love Around the Corner") will be among the major television personalities to appear at the event, which will also draw talk show hosts, reality show contestants and others who've played a role in Israeli television during the last year. The televised ceremony will be broadcast from Petah Tikva's Culture Hall starting at 8:45 p.m. on Channel 2. Awards will be distributed according to fans' votes collected via telephone and the Internet.
