The International Warsaw Film Festival has begun to accept submissions for films on Jewish themes. Feature films, documentaries, experimental films, animated films and short films are all welcome. The festival prizes include a Warsaw Phoenix statuette and cash (which last year amounted to $8,300).
The festival covers traveling costs for each film's director as well as boarding costs in a three star hotel in Warsaw's city center.
Only films produced in 2005 or later with English subtitles will be accepted. Submissions must be made prior to March 5, 2007. For more information on how to submit a film, visit: www.jewishmotifs.org
