The Lower East Side Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello will play in Tel Aviv this coming December. The band's core members originate from Eastern Europe, which informs their sound. Other members hail from Asia, Russia, Israel, the US, Latin America and Ethiopia. The band released its first single in 1999 and has toured Europe and the US since then. It has appeared onstage with Cake, Primus and Flogging Molly. This will be Gogol Bordello's first visit to Israel. The band will play one gig on December 19 at Hangar 11, and another the next day at the Barby.
