NY's New School for Jazz starts Tel Aviv program

Considered one of the most prestigious jazz schools in the world, New School will now offer a four-year program with two years in Tel Aviv.

The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, NYC has begun a collaborative academic program with the Tel-Aviv based Center for Jazz Studies of the Israel Conservatory of Music. The official launch will be held July 8th at a gala event with Avishai Cohen and Alon Yavna'i. Considered one of the most prestigious jazz schools in the world, New School will now offer a four-year program with two years in Tel Aviv and two years in New York. Graduates will receive a BFA in Jazz Performance. Faculty in Tel Aviv will include leading jazz performers from Israel and abroad. Graduates of the New School include Avishai Cohen, Brad Mehldau, Peter Bernstein and Larry Goldings.
