Another great edition of The Sports Rabbi Show in the books as I welcomed Allon Sinai from The Jerusalem Post, JPost.com to the program to discuss the upcoming Olympics and the Israel Team contingent that will be heading to London 2012!

We looked at some of the veterans like Yoni Erlich & Andy Ram who will be representing Israel in Doubles Tennis for the 3rd straight Olympic Games and how the group of athletes is now getting to know each other as the team has been spending a few days together. We also snuck in a little Wimbledon talk and about the class act that is Roger Federer!

We also discussed Maccabi Tel Aviv Football club’s first official practice this past Monday and the dire straights Beitar Jerusalem is in as Chairman Yitzik Korenfine came up with no new donors as he just returned from a trip to North America.

And we talked Israel National Team Basketball as training camp opened up as well on Monday, where I had a chance to catch up with Head Coach Arik Shivek(23:44)!
The Punch Liners!
Alon Levin (28:17) of Punch Liners, the only Pro Wrestling TV show coming out of Israel joined me next as we looked at the brilliant program hosted by Boaz Korpel and available via Facebook and YouTube! Alon & I talked about the wrestling situation in Israel with the formation of the AWO and what can be done in the Holy Land to increase public awareness that Pro Wrestling is a great outlet and a lot of fun for children and adults alike!
Alon Levin & I also talked about some of the great current wrestlers, greats of the past and top matches as Alon told me who the he hated the most! So make sure to tune in and find out who that wrestler was and join their Facebook page and find out what you can do to support this great enterprise!

Dave Barr (54:37) from 1450 The Score in Joplin, MO was up next and he was at The Major League baseball All Star Game festivities in Kansas City, MO! Dave talked about all the great players from the present and past that he was been able to schmooze with such as George Brett & Tony Gwynn, plus seeing the Home Run Derby and the moon shots that Prince Fielder launched all over the park!
Steve Nash & Kobe Bryant-Teammates!
Jon Scheiman (1:11:29) from True Hoops NY was next up to the Pulpit an we ran down all of the free agent signings and player movement that has happened and will happen over the coming days! From Ray Allen going to the World Champion Miami Heat and Steve Nash heading over to Kobe Bryant’s LA Lakers we cover it all as the hot stove is getting hot, hot, hot!
Zach Parise & Ryan Suter the New Wild!

Doc Ike (1:42:24) our NHL correspondent closed out the show as we ran down the latest news in the world of hockey. We examined the Minnesota Wild’s big FA singings as they swooped in and grabbed Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. We also looked at the other moves and potential moves to come as the CBA is still being negotiated for the upcoming season.
