One person was killed, and nine people were injured in two serious car accidents on Saturday afternoon on Route 1 near the Shapirim junction. In the first accident, the driver lost control of the car and a woman who flew out of the vehicle's window was killed. One person was critically injured, another moderately injured, and three people were lightly wounded.In the second accident that happened nearby, a man was critically injured, and four others were lightly wounded.All the injured people were transferred to Assaf Harofeh Hospital and Sheba in Tel Hashomer.
