22-year-old man drowns off Tel Aviv's Banana Beach

An approximately 22-year-old man drowned off Tel Aviv's Banana Beach on Thursday night.

Witnesses saw the man enter the water and subsequently disappear from view.

Rescue divers found the man unconscious and MDA paramedics were forced to pronounce him dead on the scene after efforts to resuscitate him failed.

According to Magen David Adom, the man is believed to have been a resident of the Palestinian territories.
